Some information and links to family members who served in WWI.

Introduction

While searching for information on a family member, I came across the Australian Light Horse Association and decided to collect all the information I have on family members in World War One.

Based on the Nominal Rolls from the Australian War Memorial the following Thews served in WWI:

Notes:

• George Joseph died at Lone Pine (22 yrs)
• William Edward died at Ypres (27 yrs)
• DAC = Divisional Ammunition Column
• LH = Light Horse
• The table contains all of the Thews in WWI, some may be from other families
• Military Unit descriptions from the War Memorial.
• The Unit is the last unit they were posted to.
• AWM links retrieved Aug, 2021
